The light of life...

I was never much of a candle person. I didn't really 'get them'.

That is, until Seb died.

Now, I absolutely love my (mostly) red candles that I have scattered throughout the house...

My little lights to my boy in Heaven.

I love lighting them and turning the lights out.
The ambience in the room is majestic.

And it makes me think just how beautiful my boy was.

This lovely angel was given to me on Tuesday at Sienna's funeral by her Mummy. To think that Bec could reach out to me on such a hard day for herself, well its almost beyond me.

She's a beautiful soul.

So on Tuesday night I set her up in top of my sewing room shelves with some other Sebby things. I lit the white candle in the angel for Sienna and the red next to it for Seb. Our two precious angels.

Seb and Sienna with the angels...
Sometimes its just these little things that bring such great comfort.

Thank you Bec. And thank you Lord for this friendship you've given to me and Bec.

John 8:12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

  1. Nat, I totally get this. I wasn't much of a candle person either until we lost Pip. Now I can't seem to light them enough and keep a special eye out for more :) What a beautiful friend you have in Bec, God has blessed you both with each other. You're absolutely right, it *is* the little things that help. So glad it helps to bring a little comfort <3
